An offsite trip is a chance to step away from common work routine and space and in the event that it is only for worker motivation and encouragement, yet, HR department cannot forget their obligations at the same time. If it this planned & organised well it brings about positive results that keep going long after everybody is back at work (outcome: Productivity & eventually profitability). Dear All Colleagues,

Autumn is officially here and with that often comes the company offsite visit (office). The event is a great time to get to know your co-workers and Reporting authorities. With that visibility we can either make or break our association, depending on how we conduct ourselves. Here are some tips to help all of us to best take advantage of the opportunities the company Offsite visit affords.
  1. Do attend the event. Many people make the mistake of thinking these seemingly forced socializing situations are not that important, however, when you don’t attend the company function you’re not seen as a team player.
  2. Do show up on time respectively as specified in the agenda shared already.
  3. Do adhere to the Agenda + Room Arrangement (including safari rules) shared with all of you via company email or you may refer notice board too.
  4. Do mingle and talk to others outside of your work group. Make use of this great time to outspread your network.
  5. Do participate in the games - few of them may sound silly, but they are all actually quite fun and a great way to get to know your co-workers in an enjoyable way.
  6. Don’t gossip, talk shop or be a downer. This is supposed to be fun & learning, remember?!
  7. Don’t drink too much. While it’s a social event, it’s still a work related event and you must maintain your professionalism & social etiquette (do not engage in arguments, confrontation, manhandling, and any type of harassment).
  8. Don’t monopolize a senior manager’s/reporting authority’s time and don’t focus on work. Though it’s okay to briefly remark a project you are working on, use the opportunity to get to know the manager personally and to share some of your interests and hobbies.
  9. Failure to comply with the aforesaid rules will be viewed seriously and subject to disciplinary action.
Looking forward to see you all.
Cheers!

Toxic Workplace Cultures Hurt Workers and Company Profits

TOXIC WORKPLACE CULTURES HURT WORKERS AND  COMPANY PROFITS Toxic workplaces —where employees dread going to work, don't feel they can be honest with their manager, and may witness or experience sexual harassment or age discrimination—are a primary reason workers quit their jobs. They often hold the managers in their workplaces responsible for creating the toxicity.  In July, SHRM commissioned research on toxic workplace cultures and what happens to the employees who work in them. " The High Cost of a Toxic Workplace Culture: How Culture Impacts the Workforce—and the Bottom Line ," released today, found that many workers consider culture and managers to be closely connected.  TOXIC WORKPLACE CULTURES HURT WORKERS AND  COMPANY PROFITS
