HR Folks or anyone whoever is trying to get their organization certified for best places to work should be benefitted by this Article. It is sometimes challenging to obtain required approvals from the management for certain potential HR best Practices like this. However, to convince the higher management and further to get their approvals are mandatory to proceed further.

I am sure, it is hard to get top Management approvals till the time you cannot explain – what is the best place to work or a great place to work survey is all about? This is in reference to the corporate certification of “Great Place to Work” for our (company name). Since the last few months – I was in discussion with the respective agency who is specially engaged in this kind of projects or in fact who gives this kind of certification as per the objective of the client.

Tools and steps to assess the workplace culture and engagement levels of any organization:

1.    Trust Index© - This is the survey that shall be administered to employees. It is based on 5 dimensions: Credibility, Respect, Fairness, Pride & Camaraderie.

2.    Culture Audit© - This is an assessment of all the people practices, programs and policies running in the organization since the last 1 year. This is an input that should come from the HR department, a list and brief description of all the practices in Hiring, Welcoming, Speaking, Listening, Thanking, Developing and other areas. This is also one of the sources of best people practices from some great organizations which can be available from the said agency for our future reference.
