As a Manager of the HR Department, one may have thousands of ways to reduce employee absenteeism however; there are a few practical & feasible ways to reduce employee absenteeism as below.

Reduce employee absenteeism – First Option,

There should be a clear and employee-friendly leave policy in place which - I am sure everyone is aware of. One condition is important to mention that any absence without prior permission will be treated as a termination without notice. If you think it's a bit harsh then go for the second option.

Reduce employee absenteeism – Second option,

Most of the organizations used to have ‘attendance incentives’ policy for curbing absenteeism. This policy says - in case of no leave in a month or probably no abrupt leave a particular amount or one day salary will be paid to them.

Over and above, I would like to suggest - measure employee satisfaction or engagement level beforehand. Why because – employee absenteeism issue occurs when employee s are either not happy or not recognized enough to feel motivated at their workplace.

So, it's always worthwhile to find out the reason of absenteeism first, else, no policy or memo can reduce employee absenteeism among the employees of the organization in the end.
